Putting a super nerdy spin on A Christmas Carol, E.D.G.E Theatre in Chicago produced A Klingon Christmas Carol this year. The play, first produced by the University of Minnesota Saint Paul Student Center in 2007, is the first play ever to be performed entirely in Klingon, a constructed language based on the language spoken by the Klingons in the Star Trek media franchise.

E.D.G.E. Theatre performed Klingon Christmas Carol underneath English supertitles. It is not yet clear whether E.D.G.E. will pick up the play again for their 2017 season.

For more information about learning the Klingon language yourself, check out the Klingon Language Institute.
