"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination."
We all know those words, we all know that the dimension in reference is called The Twilight Zone, and for the third time, Rod Serling's sci-fi anthology series is getting a reboot, this time under the leadership of Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw production company.
Peele, who first became famous starring on such sketch comedy shows as MadTV and Key & Peele, rewrote the public's perception of himself this year with his directorial debut, Get Out, a sci-fi / horror film that has earned favorable comparisons to genre luminaries such as Twilight Zone, more than $230 million at the box office, and a 99% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes.
CBS, which owns the rights to The Twilight Zone, will add the revival to its CBS All Access lineup alongside Star Trek: Discovery and The Good Fight.
